Story:
I have been very fortunate to get a chance to test this sleeping bag out. It has been an exceptional bag for what I’ve used it for. I’ve had it out on multiple backpacking trips. It compresses down to a small size very nice. It’s great for keeping the size of your pack to a minimum.
I’ve had a few different sleeping bags in the past and the draft tube never seemed to work that well. But marmot has done a great job in installing a draw string to tighten up the tube around the shoulder area to prevent any air from entering the bag. There is also a draft tube along the zipper. It doesn’t seem to seal perfect but allows very minimum air through.
This bag also has a nice little pouch down by the feet that allow you to slip a heat pack in to keep your feet warm. So far I haven’t needed to use this feature, but will be nice to have on those late November excursions.
Given the weight and tempter rating, with a retail price at $230 you can’t go wrong by purchasing this bag.
What they could do better:
Improve the zipper draft tube
