GRIZZLY TUFF CHEST HOLSTER Review

Editor:  Randy Johnson

Basic Description:

Custom made, tough, well constructed, fully adjustable chest holster for my Taurus Judge .410 bore shot shells and .45 Colt cartridge.

The Facts:

The Grizzly Tuff chest holsters is a great product for larger pistols that can be worn under a pack while hiking and when riding an ATV. The holster fits great and allow plenty of room for adjustment.

Story:

I’ve been looking for a holster that I could wear on my chest underneath my backpack while out hiking. I wanted something that could give me immediate access to my Taurus Judge that I could quickly draw to shoot rattlesnakes, or to use if I encountered a bear. I came across Grizzly Tuff hosters while shopping on the internet. A small family operation, Pam Cook takes great pride in creating custom, top notch products for her customers. My holster is made of tough cordura and fits my Taurus Judge perfectly. It’s comfortable and very easy to wear. The holster has met every requirement. My handgun is very accessible, protected, and most of all comfortable while wearing it underneath a pack or on the outside of a bulky coat. I also like to wear mine while riding my ATV. I can see why folks who live in bear country would like this holster for “bear protection.” This is one holster that is not going to wear out or get a tear in the fabric!

What They Could Do Better

  • I like the holster as designed and wouldn’t change a thing.
  • However, the turn around time after ordering the holster was much too long and the shipping problems the Cooks have had from Sitka needs to be addressed. I didn’t know when it was being shipped and communication was poor. These particular custom service issues really do need to be changed.
