Story:
Blackjack’s Motto is ” No Gimmicks….Just Performance” and I have to say that I agree that this knife model 125 is true to their motto. Somehow the Blackjack name seems too slick for a knife this traditional and true to time-tested hunting design. I admit to be, just a bit, of a knife freak and have many so-called tactical knifes in my gun safe, but when I went looking for a traditional hunting knife that was capable of tackling game chores from the smallest to the largest North American game, this knife really stood out and fit the bill.
One of the classic design features of this knife is the generous and rounded choil which allows you to move your first finger and thumb forward on the knife and do detailed cutting and skinning chores. While the knife is not too large (even though Blackjack refers to it as a “heavy hunter”) to be functional, it has a stout .215 blade thickness making it capable of serious work in the field.
Overall, I love the style, design, and functionality of this knife. As an added bonus this knife comes razor sharp and includes one of the best leather knife sheaths by Sharpshooter Sheath Systems that I have owned.
What they could do better:
Change the company name to something more traditional to match their products? Just kidding!
