My Story:
Walls has long been a company that knows about hard work. Hard labor calls for tough clothing. Durability and comfort are paramount when choosing the coat that will be on your back for the whole workday. The same holds true for the banks of the river and hours in a stand. Whatever the activity if it requires a jacket you want to make sure it’s both functional and comfortable.
The Walls Vintage Duck Shirt Jacket is a perfect for just about any outdoor application other than rain/snow storms. This great shirt is made with tough 10oz. Cotton that is abrasion resistant and can take a bit of a beating. The interior of the jacket is warm soft fleece that will make you not want to take this jacket off. The broken-in fabric makes every movement feel great and comfortable. This thing simply feels great. It reminds me of putting on one of dads old work jackets. Every kink had been worked out and it just felt comforting.
For all the positive I have to say about this coat, there is a bit that did bother me. The first and most obvious is the sizing. Walls makes great products all the way around but I almost always have issues with the sleeves being a bit too short. The other issue I had with this jacket is that it is a bit to long for my liking. I mentioned that comforting feeling of wearing dad’s old coat, but I don’t want to look like I’m wearing my dad’s coat. The issue is that to size down would only make the sleeves shorter. I feel some redesign could really help this issue.

In the end it comes down to body type. I know not every person is the same and the issue I have may not be the same for others. So, we need to focus on the material, craftsmanship, and overall product. I wore this jacket during several side jobs, fishing trips, and camping trips and I really feel this is a great jacket. It is honestly one of the most comfortable jackets I have had in a very long time. It will certainly stay in my closet.

What can be done better?
Sizing. There is definitely an issue with the sizing on this product. It is a great jacket but perspective buyers my want to think about sizing down with this one. If you are like me and fins yourself on the lower side of a certain size you will absolutely want to size down. Walls does continue to impress with the fabric and craftsmanship and this is a quality product. If you have the chance to try before you buy I would suggest doing that.

I give this 4 stars as the sizing could potentially be a big issue for some.
