First Lite Brimmed Beanie, Merino Wool, Review

Editor: Mike

Just the Facts:
The Brimmed Beanie is constructed of two layers of 400gm super fine merino wool. The Brimmed Beanie is just long enough to cover your ears on those frigid mornings but can be rolled up as the day wears on and the temp goes up. We have sewn a small brim that is large enough to keep the sun out of your eyes or enable you to hide your eyes from game while small enough not interfere with your string on compound or traditional bows.

Technology

18.5 micron superfine Merino wool
2 layer 400gm interlock fabric
Flexible brim
Machine washable and dryable

Story
First Lite does an outstanding job designing and creating quality Merino Wool clothing and accessories. This brimmed beanie is no exception.
The stitching is perfect, the aesthetics are outstanding, and the fit is great.
I have worn this hat on several duck and elk hunts during the early part of winter in Utah. I have found that the hat kept me warm in temps down to about 15 degrees. Keep in mind that this hat is wool, and does not have a wind liner….so if you encounter wind you will get some blow through and head cooling.
The hat has fine enough wool, that for the vast majority of people you will not get head itch. So nice job on using good refined wool.
This hat should last a person a life time, without any concern or issue.

What they could do better:
I am not thrilled with the brim, it seems odd and out of place.
