My Story:
When I was choosing a camp chairs 10 years ago I usually didn’t put much thought into the purchase. I would buy the cheapest chair and throw away the one that was broken. It would go without saying that the chairs I had were not of the best quality. Unfortunately, the aches and pains that I used to tease my father about when I was a kid have now found their way into my life. Who would have thought that sitting in a chair could be uncomfortable! A nasty car accident saw to the end of my youthful springiness and the stiffness of old injuries has now caught up with me. I have been looking for a chair that could pull me away from the uncomfortable and low quality chairs that have long circled my campfires. Well, STRONGBACK has answered the call.
During a visit to the Outdoor Retail Show in Salt Lake City my eyes were opened to some really neat products. Interestingly enough one of them was the STRONGBACK Elite and Core chairs. If you have ever been to the OR Show or any other large trade show you now that there is a tremendous amount of walking to be done. The guys at the STRONGBACK booth needed not beg people to take the opportunity to sit down for a moment and I was definitely one of those who took advantage of a quick break.
I was instantly impressed with the support offered by these chairs. When you are on your feet all day and want to sit down a chair is very inviting, but how many times have you sat down only to feel uncomfortable? The root of the problem is caused by the lack of support offered by sub-par chairs. My back is not what it was when I was twenty and it does not take long in a flimsy chair to have my back start “talking” to me. These cheap camp chairs will hold you off the ground but they also allow you to have horrible posture. For people with back issues this can present a real problem.

I arranged for a STRONGBACK Elite and Core models to be sent over for testing and review. I really liked what I saw at the show but I needed some real world application for these chairs. What I found after several BBQ’s and camping trips was that the comfort I found at the show was not a fluke. I fell in love with these chairs in every way.
The Core offers some great features like mesh fabric which helps keep your back and bum cool on hot days. It is also at a bit more of an affordable price point. I don’t feel as it is as comfortable as the Elite but it is worlds above a standard camp chair.
The Elite is be far my favorite of the two chairs I tested. This thing makes me feel like a king on his throne. I love how sturdy it is and the lumbar support is unlike any other folding chair I have ever seen. This chair is as comfortable as it is good looking and became the “one to get” at my 2016 elk camp. Every day this chair was fought over and unanimously gained the seal of approval from every person who sat in it. To say I made some believers of the STRONGBACK Elite would be an understatement.

The bottom line is that if you are in search of a chair that is going to give you unrivaled comfort and promote a healthy posture you are going to have to look at STRONGBACK. What can be done better?
I honestly can’t find anything that I would change with these chairs. They are comfortable, well made, and good looking to boot!

I give the STRONGBACK ELITE and CORE each 5 stars as they are miles ahead of any other folding camp chair I have used.
