Vortex Diamondback 10×42 Binocular Review

Pros:

[rating: 3/5]

Would you recommend to Friend: YES for the budget conscience. No if you have an extra 200 to spend.

Rubber Armour makes for a tough finish

Eye cups fit my eyes very well

Pretty small and compact for 10×42

Warranty cannot be beat!

Separate eye adjustment is accurate and reliable, I have adjusted maybe once per year.

Cons:

Not great clarity around the edges, good in the middle

A little heavy

Story:

We have used these binos for 2 years. They have been used in the duck boat, the tree stand, in blinds, and during pack in hunts.

They have performed the same over the entire period of time. We have had them in bad conditions and they have help up well.

I have compared them side by side to: Nikon Monarchs, Swarovski, and Cabelas Euro. They have the least clarity out of all of them, but for the price they stack up quite well.

This is a good beginning class type of binocular. If this is all you can afford you will feel ok about it. Spending a few hundred more might make you happier.

What could they do better:

Nothing for this price.
